The ceremony

Herm Island can offer a range of idyllic locations for religious and civil ceremonies presided over by a celebrant.

St Tugual’s Chapel

  • A truly historic, beautiful little church dating back to the 11th Century. St Tugual’s is set in the heart of Herm’s Manor Village and is licensed for religious ceremonies.

  • Seats 70 guests inside and covered additional space can be arranged in the Chapel garden.

  • £750 hire charge.

Herm beaches

  • Herm boasts some of the finest beaches in Europe with golden sands and turquoise seas. Talk to us about getting married on the famous Shell Beach or Belvoir Bay.

  • Seats can be arranged for up to 100 people.

  • £TBA (based on requirements for transport & setup)

The White House gardens

  • Herm has ‘Britain in Bloom’ and 'Floral Guernsey' Gold award-winning gardens, with the hotel grounds and gardens offering a lush natural environment and stunning views for your welcome drinks and wedding ceremony.

  • Seats can be arranged for up to 100 people.

  • £950 set up and hire charge.

The afternoon interval

If a change of setup is involved between your wedding meal and evening entertainment, an interval will be required to reset the marquee. Herm Island offers a variety of options to give you and your guests a 'change of scene'. If this is not required, you are welcome to stay and enjoy the bar and facilities.

The White House Hotel can be exclusively yours for the wedding of a lifetime! Boasting 40 spacious bedrooms, it is available throughout the year, although high season will require 1+ year's notice.

  • Exclusive use of hotel facilities including The Conservatory Restaurant, Monk’s Bar, lounges, gardens, marquee, and outdoor pool. The Conservatory Restaurant comfortably seats 60 in the main restaurant whilst two adjoining areas will accommodate 30+ diners.  (NB: The Ship Inn, attached to the main hotel, is not included in this rate).

  • Overnight accommodation for up to 80 guests for 2 nights - B&B

  • Master of Ceremonies

Wedding travel

Located just three miles from Guernsey in the Channel Islands, Herm is very easy to reach with regular flights from all main UK airports and regular ferries from Portsmouth or Poole to Guernsey. Herm is then just a short 20-minute onward boat journey from St Peter Port Harbour on one of the Herm Travel Trident passenger ferries.
